Kiss Cafe was the next stop in the Friday night club tour, LOL.
To be honest I’m very interested in visiting the cafe during the day, just to see what it looks like; it looked like a nice spot to chill, during the day.
Club-wise it could have been better. Not sure if it’s an 18 and over spot or what, but there were definitely A LOT of youngin’sin the spot. The “party promoter” A.K.A ”stalker status” was more interested in taking pics with select females than he was about making sure everyone was enjoying their time in the club. At one point it seemed like he had a photo shoot going on with party goers (more specifically the women of the club), I felt bad for the club’s photographer.
Unlike the old photographer at Zanadu (or Xanadu) , who took pictures of the same people all night long, this photographer took pictures of EVERYONE. If I see him again, I’m definitely getting his number (professional purposes only, too short for anything else).
The DJ was NOT the best he could be… I don’t even know his name, which sucks because I would definitely like to avoid him in the future. Friday was the first time I ever heard some one mix “Dutty Wine” and “Luv in This Club”. His mixing technique had no smooth transitions just straight one song to the next, I honestly feel I could have done better.
Since I’m not a drinker my home girl Senorita “Fraiz” (not her real name but I have to keep my friends anonymity) did the alcohol tasting. She ordered the “lemon drop”, which, to put it in her own words was” the worst lemon drop [she's] every had.”
OH! Did I mention that they charged me $2 for water in a plastic cup! Since when do clubs start charging peeps for tap water… Oh hell naw!!! I know we’re in a recession ad times are hard but charging people for water is just a bit much, don’t you think? I’m not cheap by a long shot, it’s just principle. If I wanted to pay for a drink, I would have paid for a bottle of water. Clean water! Not faucet water!
Anywhoo, my suggestion for the club? GET A NEW DJ AND A NEW PROMOTER.
